Employees on Parental Leave may defer accrued vacation time from before the Parental Leave occurred until the exact date Parental Leave expires. In other words, vacation time can be differed to the beginning of the 64 th week after the employee left work for Parental Leave.
You can get Flexible Paid Parental Leave on days that you are both: not working; caring for your child. You can get them on days that you are on leave from work. They can be paid before, after or while you are on paid or unpaid leave from your employer. You can’t get the COVID-19 Disaster Payment at the same time as Parental Leave Pay.
