Thanks, but so far the cleaning services I've contacted haven't been any help, they are set up for the big rigs and the kilns aren't even tall enough for the cruze. I have seen one video where they use a base (like drain cleaner, or lye) to first soak the filter.
When my DPF went out on my 6.7 at 386000 miles I had a hard time finding a shop to properly clean the DPF. Found a place that cleaned them ultrasonically. The process worked very well. After that I found myself looking into the dpf cleaning a lot. End result is I bought one of thew ultrasonic cleaning franchises for cleaning DPFs. I saw on the internet that some people are cleaning their own dpf filters with a pressure washer by carefully spraying preferably heated water in the direction the exhaust would flow into the dpf then out the exhaust. Also I believe I would need a computer to reset the truck after doing the work and I don't have one.

The DPF on the CM2350 (most 4th gen urea equipped trucks) and newer engines can last quite a long time (even for grocery getters), usually it's an issue elsewhere that isn't caught in time that gets them. The same setup is used in the Tier 4 final industrial engines, the DPF typically 4UoTr.
